Previously, I protested against our invasion of Iraq and the way we are conducting the war on terrorism.

Today I am upset by the way the Palestinians are being killed and driven from their homes by the Israeli Army, and also the fact the Sudanese government is turning a blind eye to the plight of the thousands who are being driven from their homes by the Arabs.

Neither of these tragedies has elicited a loud protest by our president nor a call for action by the United Nations. Have we forfeited our compassion for political reasons?
