FARMINGTON – Travis Parent scored 3 goals as Appalachia cruised to an 8-2 win over Fairfield Sunday in the Central Maine Summer Soccer League. Others finding the twines were Jeff Beck, Brian Broderick, Jay Johnson, Ben Goodwin and Trevor Parent. Keeper Andy Sperry made 6 saves on 8 shots. Joe Corey tallied both goals for Fairfield. Appalachia is now 3-0-1. In other league action, Augusta beat Oakland 4-1 to go 3-0-1, and Booters trimmed Turner 3-1.
