LEWISTON – Thelma A. Langlois, 95, formerly of 150 Pine St, died Monday evening, July 5, at Ste. Marguerite d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born in St. Hilaire, New Brunswick, Canada, June 10, 1909, the daughter of Francois and Clarisse Barron Corno. She was educated in Canada schools. She married Melus A. Langlois in 1933, and he died Oct. 29, 1979.

She made her living in the design room at Bates Mill as a “drawing girl” for 50 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church, St. Anne’s Sodality, and Covenant 50. She was an avid pinochle card player.

Survivors include her daughters, Joline Diehl of Hyannis, Mass., Jane Morin and her husband Robert of Lewiston; a son, Henri Langlois of Santa Monica, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Daniel, Arlene, Michael Diehl, John Morin and his wife Joline, Paul Morin and his wife Noreen, Todd Morin and his wife Lisa, and Heidi Poussard and her husband Dan; 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Gertrude Lavoie, Yvonne McQuarrie, Emily Deblois; brothers, Frank, Antonio, Albert, Arthur, and Edgar Corno.
