LIVERMORE FALLS – A free field hockey clinic is being held Wednesday for field hockey players from Livermore Falls high and middle schools.
Coaching staff from the University of Maine will offer the clinic from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a one-hour break for lunch. Lunch is provided by the Livermore Falls High School Field Hockey Boosters.
Last fall, middle school coach Cathi Howell’s team won a free clinic from the university.
The clinic is for SAD 36 students entering Grades 6 through 12.
The players will be split into groups for instruction.
Players need to bring a stick, mouth guard, shin guards and a water bottle, Howell said. Some sticks are available for those who need them.
All interested players are welcome. No prior experience is necessary for new players.
Players may register ahead of time by calling Howell at 897-6626 or coach Julia Parker at 897-2988.
