LEWISTON – Community Little Theatre will present “The Scarlet Pimpernel,” Aug. 20-29 at Lewiston Middle School.
The story of “The Scarlet Pimpernel” by Baroness Emma Orczy, a Hungarian-British novelist, begins in 1792 in France. The Revolution has turned bloody. The guillotine claims hundreds of French men and women, some of whom are innocent of any crime. Out of this chaos, one man emerges to right the wrong. With his small band of men, he saves the doomed French in one ingenious rescue after another. He is the Scarlet Pimpernel.
The show is directed by Richard Martin. Principal roles will be played by Kristen Thomas, Cora Matthews, Christopher Benoit, Bob Gauthier and Michael Litchfield.
Also playing key roles in the show are actors Mitchell Clyde Thomas,Vincent Ratsavong, Noel Thibodeau, Dan Crawford, Matthew Thomas and Scott Powers.
Supporting roles will be played by Brandon Dubois, Phil Vampatella and Bruce Gerry.
In the chorus are Michael Girouard, Andre Demers, Jeremy Gervais, Adam Blais, Brandon Dubois, Josie Baum, Shirley Bernier, Anne Caldwell, Jocelyn Curtis, Bridget Duval, Rachel Hanscom, Cora Matthews, Crystal Peterson, Dwayne Burgess, Graham Duval, Mike Cyr, Anna Cyr, Malory Cyr, Maisy Cyr, Patrick Baum and Danielle Sicotte.
