HARRISON – Deertrees Theatre and a 40-piece Camp Encore/Coda Chamber Orchestra will present a concert at 8 p.m. Monday, July 19, called “A Guided Tour of the Classics.”
The performance will benefit the Bridgton Hospital.
Camp Encore/Coda in Sweden, Maine, attracts talented students and a faculty of accomplished musicians, professionals from orchestras and universities throughout the United States.
With 160 campers and 75 staff members, the camp is large enough to support a wide variety of musical ensembles. The Chamber Orchestra includes both faculty and the camp’s most talented student orchestra musicians. It performs music from a wide variety of historical periods.
Monday’s concert, under the direction of Donald Dregalla, will include Antonio Salieri’s “Sinfonia: La Grotta Di Trofonio,” Mozart’s “Paris,” Schubert’s Overture in the Italian Style” and Prokofiev’s “Classical” Symphony No. 1.
Prior to the concert, at 7 p.m., a wine and cheese reception will be held at Deertrees’ BackStage Gallery.
Tickets are $15 for the reception and concert, $12 for the concert alone.
