BRUNSWICK – The Oratorio Chorale will hold auditions for new singers the evenings of Wednesday, Aug. 4, and Monday, Aug. 30.
Openings are available in each voice section.
High sopranos and tenors are particularly urged to audition.

For 30 years, the chorale has performed in venues from Newcastle to Portland. Conductor Peter Frewen has led the group in such works as Handel’s “Judas Maccabeus,” Dvorak’s “Requiem,” Belioz’s “L’Enfance du Christ,” Gounod’s “Mors et Vita” and Bach’s “St. John Passion,” as well as unusual repertoire from the 20th century.
The upcoming 2004-05 season will feature three concerts.
The chorale rehearses Sunday evenings during the season.
