FARMINGTON – A 30-year-old Farmington man was arrested Wednesday at his workplace and charged with threatening with a dangerous weapon.

Farmington police received a report of harassment on July 13 from a 17-year-old girl. An interview with the victim revealed that the girl’s boyfriend had allegedly held a knife to her throat and threatened her earlier that evening at their home. She said he had threatened to kill her, according to Lt. Jack Peck of the Farmington Police Department.

Officer Andrew Hufnagel applied for an arrest warrant for Curtis Slayton of Perham Street in Farmington. He was taken into custody the next day and charged with terrorizing with a dangerous weapon.

He was taken to the Franklin Detention Center, where he was being held Monday on $1,000 cash bail.
