CHESTERVILLE – A church fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 24, at Zion Hill Community Church. It will include a yard sale with antiques and collectibles, games, food, a balloon release and an old-fashioned sack race. Meals of a hot dog or hamburger, chips, salad and soda will be available for $3. Popcorn and ice cream also will be available

Church meeting for everyone

PHILLIPS – The United Church of Christ will hold an all-church meeting at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 25, at the Community House on Main Street. All members and friends are invited to attend. All people will have a voice, but only members may vote.

Speaker to discuss Maine-built cars

RANGELEY – The Rangeley Lakes Region Historical Society will hold its annual meeting at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, at the barn at the Congregational Church. The meeting will include election of directors and officers, and discussion of plans for an outdoor sporting heritage museum.

The guest speaker will be Richard Fraser, author of “A History of Maine Built Automobiles 1834-1934.” Fraser has bought and sold several Model T’s and restored a 1911 Metz. He also purchased a car that turned out to be a 1901 Stickney built in Portland.

The public is invited to attend this program.
