GARDINER – “Lively Lunches at Johnson Hall Mini-Park” wil present a guitar, vocals and drums performance by Jud Caswell and Alfred Lund Wednesday, Aug. 25. The concert will be from noon to 1 p.m. in the mini-park next to Johnson Hall, 280 Water St.
Caswell is an award-winning singer-songwriter described by The Boston Herald as “one of those expert, multi-gifted folk singers who are surprisingly unknown outside their home territory.” Percussionist Alfred Lund will lend a world-rock foundation to the show with his homemade Ashiko hand drums.
“Lively Lunches” is a new series of outdoor performances held in the mini-park. Local restaurants have lunch specials available for takeout, or people can bring a bag lunch. Johnson Hall will sell brownies and bottled water, and will pass the hat. In case of rain, Caswell and Lund will perform inside Johnson Hall. No admission fee.
