WILTON – Planners will consider four new applications and two previously submitted applications when they meet Thursday. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the town office.
Gill Reed of Nichols Custom Welding is proposing to move a U-Haul distributorship to his new business at the old Bass Distribution Center on Weld Street.
At their last meeting, planners approved an application for Reed to move his welding manufacturing business from Farmington to the Weld Road building. Reed plans to bring other businesses to the building as well.
Planners told Reed that they must approve any other businesses that move there before they begin operations. Reed said the company will bring use permit applications to the board for their tenants.
Anastasia Henderson wants permission to house one horse in a converted garage on her premises on the Weld Road. Henderson currently has two miniature goats.
Aland Renee Levesque is proposing to build a 10- by 20-foot storage building in a commercial zone on Jay Street. The proposal must go before planners because it is less than 500 square feet.
John Johnson wants to move his taxi service from Livermore Falls to Wilton.
Under old business, Tracy Hollingdale is asking for a variance for lot size on her Fuller Street property. In June, planners tabled her application to split her land and sell a portion of her property. Hollingdale purchased a lot with an existing small house adjacent to her original property. She asked to be able to split the new lot, sell one portion, and retain the rest of the property. Since the split would create a nonconforming lot, planners said this could not be done.
A minor subdivision application was also submitted by Colon Durrell on behalf of Timothy J. Thompson for a three-lot subdivision on Walker Hill Road. That application was tabled earlier this month.
