AUBURN – Musician Chuck Frechette is this year’s organizer for the annual “Evening of Entertainment” to raise money for Loaves and Fishes, which helps needy people in the area.
Frechette is well-known in Maine and Florida and for his work with his own group, the Mountain Dews. He has conducted the fiddler contest for the Festival de Joie for six years. Previously he teamed up with Connie Cote at the festival. A retired electrical contractor, he also served as maintenance director for the Lewiston School Department.
Entertainers will include Janet and Ed Richard, Lorraine Ouellette and Gerry Dube.
The show will be from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at Central Maine Community College.
Advance tickets of $8 may be purchased by calling 375-8399. Tickets at the door will be $10. Donations of nonperishable food or non-food items will be appreciated. For more information, people can call Sister Lucille Fournier at 375-8399.
