JAY – Police are investigating about 13 mailboxes that were damaged early Sunday in the East Jay and Bean’s Corner area.

Cpl. Jeffrey Fournier said most of the damaged mailboxes were on Plaisted Road, with some on East Jay Road and one on Chesterville Road.

A lot of the mailboxes had their doors knocked off, he said, and it looked like the vandals were hitting them with a blunt object.

Some of them had a crease in them, Fournier said.
