UNITY – Cinque Terre in Portland will host the fourth annual Movable Feast fund-raising dinner for the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association Sunday, Oct. 17.

Several of Maine’s top chefs, including Lee Skawinski of Cinque Terre, Tom Gutow of The Castine Inn, Melissa Kelly of Primo and Rob Evans of Hugo’s, will serve a multi-course, Maine-based meal to all participants.

There will also be a pre-dinner round-table discussion, during the appetizer course, about the connection between local organic ingredients and good cooking.

Last year’s dinner, hosted by Arrows in Ogunquit, raised $6,000 for the association’s programs.

It featured dishes such as warm fall salad of roasted mushrooms, garden chicories and emmer; halibut with porcini mushrooms and truffled potato agnolotti; a trio of venison dishes; puff pastry filled with chocolate pastry cream and caramelized pumpkin; chocolate ganache roulade topped with spiced pumpkin ice cream; and El Ray hot chocolate with pumpkin whipped cream.

The dinner will begin at 4:30 p.m. with the appetizers and pre-dinner round table. Participants will be seated for the six-course meal by 5:30 p.m., and end at approximately 8:30 p.m.
