LIVERMORE FALLS – Police are investigating a burglary at 22 Wilkins Lane in which money, liquor, paychecks, a checkbook and chain saw were stolen. Contents of the refrigerator, freezer and a bedroom dresser were dumped onto the floor.
The burglary was reported at 12:43 a.m. Friday at the residence off Park Street.
Livermore Falls Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said, $200 in silver dollars and half-dollars, 20 two-dollar bills, 20 unopened bottles of liquor, two or three uncashed paychecks, a checkbook and a Stihl chain saw were taken.
In a separate incident, an attempted burglary was reported Saturday at 197 Haines Corner Road.
Tools were found in the yard that didn’t belong to the occupant of the home, Steward said.
Additionally, it was reported that someone pried open a door of a motor vehicle Wednesday at 210 Otis St., Steward said. It was unclear if anything was taken, he said.
