Did the Sun Journal attend the same Laura Bush rally that I did on Sept. 10 when our country’s first lady graced Lewiston with her presence? I counted 24 anti-Bush protesters outside. I know because I had anticipated the Sun Journal padding the numbers.
As far as the comment that “Bush lost the volume contest,” again, the two big pro-Bush groups on either side had no problem competing with the others.
Maybe the reporter was mistakenly counting the group of college Republicans as protesters. I hope so. I would hate to think that the Sun Journal would resort to, as President Bush would say, “fuzzy math.” Remember, there were 800 or more of us there that day that know the truth.
