SUMNER – The wedding of Nicole Lyn Cushing and Matthew D. Starbird was held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 15 in Sumner. Tammy Dignan, notary, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Starbird is the daughter of Connie Cushing of Sumner. Mr. Starbird is the son of Ronald and Katherine Starbird of Lisbon.
The bride, given in marriage by her grandfather and mother, wore a white Juliette style gown and carried a bouquet of red roses and carnations.
Christy Swihart, friend, served as maid of honor and Ronald Starbird, father, served as best man.
An outdoor reception followed at the home of the bride’s mother. The couple traveled locally for their honeymoon and are residing in Sumner.
The bride received a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and is employed at U.S. Cellular.
The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering and is employed at Kaiser Homes in Oxford.
