FARMINGTON – Peoples Bank teller Patty Flagg said she missed her toy fish when she worked this weekend. The fish, an icon of a training program to teach employees to have fun at work, was taken by local store owner Marty Pike last week after Flagg had tossed it at him as a joke.

Pike returned the toy to the ebullient Flagg Monday afternoon.

“I missed having it to throw at people,” Flagg said.

Some regular targets missed it and were asking about it, she said. Some customers try to steal it from her work station to throw it at her, too.

“People really love it,” she said.

Bank customer Ron Burton, owner of Ron’s Market, receives the fish treatment and said he likes the laugh.

“If you can’t have fun with your customers, then you shouldn’t be in business,” he said Monday at the bank.
