FARMINGTON – The Farmington-Wilton Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors recently held a board retreat facilitated by Wayne Mitchell of ProdComm in Augusta. The topic of the retreat was “Exploring the Idea of a Regionalized Chamber of Commerce.”

Since Farmington is the county seat of Franklin County, an expanded base would potentially include the communities of Avon, Carrabassett Valley, Jay, Kingfield, Livermore, Livermore Falls, New Vineyard, Strong, Phillips and Weld.

The Farmington-Wilton Chamber is a nonprofit membership organization of business and civic leaders. It exists to promote its members and their services and to provide a voice for the interests of area businesses. Through partnerships with other groups and individuals, the chamber seeks to promote economic growth, tourism, civic pride and cultural awareness.
