LIVERMORE FALLS – Area senior citizens have scheduled three special events for this month, including the monthly Beano game on Monday. Pat Couture will be in charge.

On Oct. 11, a Chinese auction will be supervised by Shirley Toncer, and on Oct. 18, Alan Gove, Livermore Falls town manager, will be the speaker.

At the Sept. 27 meeting, 32 members were present and Mary Groleau and Alice DeMoras were welcomed back. Cards were sent to Norman Duguay, Mimi Frechette and Cecile Poisson.

Madeline Cote and Henry LeBlond spoke to the seniors about the new drug discount card program and answered several questions about the complicated program.

Celebrating birthdays in September were Joan Knapp, Jim Williams, Denis Morin and Marie LeBlanc. Shirley Toncer will serve as chairman for the next two weeks. The drawing was won by Elvina Miller and a door prize donated by Shirley Toncer was won by Pat Couture.
