Dear Sun Spots: Is Vivien Leigh of Channel 6 expecting? If so, what is her due date? Is this her real name? – N.A.P., No Town.
Answer: Sun Spots corresponded with Steve Thaxton, president and general manager of WCSH, channel 6, who says news anchor/reporter Vivien Leigh and her husband are not only expecting, they’re expecting twin boys in January! It is an exciting time for them, he says. And yes, Vivien Leigh is her given name. Sun Spots would like to offer her congratulations and those of column readers to Leigh and her husband on this exciting occasion.
Dear Sun Spots: Once again a request for your valuable column. Can you please tell me where I might locate cards by Marian Heath of Sudbury, Mass.? Back in the ’60s, I used to buy them in the YWCA in Washington, the only source I had. They were usually in an old English style type, and the first letter was always illuminated. Never an illustration. The message spoke eloquently. In particular, I recall one on dying that moved me greatly and was furnished on a memorial card we received only yesterday. If those cards are no longer produced, it’s a loss to all of us. Thanks for your ever diligent searches. – Pat Northrop, Oquossoc.
Answer: You might want to try contacting Marian Heath Greeting Cards, 9 Kendrick Road, Wareham, MA 02571, (508) 291-0766 or via her Web site at www.marianheath.com.
