PHILLIPS – A Franklin County deputy is investigating the theft of a boat and motor stolen from a dock at Beaver Pond off Parlin Road.

The 12-foot or 14-foot green aluminum boat had been at the dock for several years, sheriff’s Lt. Niles Yeaton said.

A 10-horsepower motor was also taken, Yeaton said.

The boat was reported missing Saturday, Yeaton said. The owner checked the boat earlier this fall and it was there, he said.
