LIVERMORE FALLS – The Water District is still drawing from Parkhurst Pond in East Jay, according to Superintendent Doug Burdo.

He said the district’s primary source, Moose Hill Pond in Livermore Falls, is still 20 inches below being full.

Trustees have approved the third quarter budget report, which showed a profit of $7,903 – a positive sign, the board agreed.

Burdo also reported that replacing the sand in the second filter has cost less than was budgeted with the use of a small tractor.

He has yet to determine how best to change the other two filters.
