FARMINGTON – The future of the Knowlton-McCleary building is on the agenda for the Planning Board on Monday.
NOW Gallery and Studios in the Church Street building is a haven for community and student artists. The building is behind Java Joe’s and may be sold if board members approve renovation plans.
Building owner Peggy Hodgkins hopes to be able to sell to Dennis and Ruth Haszko, of Canada, who want to renovate it to accommodate apartments, offices and ground-floor retail space, according the board’s agenda.
Also on the agenda are two older items that have been on the docket before.
Rick Collins will present site review and soil erosion control and storm water management applications for a building site at 269 High St. Collins wants to build a four-unit apartment building on the site at the corner of High and Maple streets where a two-unit building was destroyed in a fire almost a year ago.
Loretta Bard is expected to present detailed plans to the board for a parking lot at 121 Pleasant St. Bard presented plans created by E.L. Vining in September but property abutters Daniel and Josephine Fisher had concerns about drainage issues. The Planning Board instructed Bard to provide a more comprehensive plan to address those concerns before they would consider the application.
Other items include a application for a five-lot residential subdivision on Farmington Falls Road by Mark Berry and Timothy Ladd, a soil erosion control and storm water management application for the construction of a new driveway and barn at 604 Titcomb Hill Road and a soil erosion application to eliminate spring time mud problems at Good Times Unlimited on Farmington Falls Road.
