SMYRNA, Ga. – Cecile J. LaBonte, 83, of Smyrna, Ga., a former resident of Sabattus, died Wednesday, Feb. 2, at her residence with her family by her side.
She was born in Lewiston, Sept. 28, 1921, the daughter of Raoul and Mary Dupre Belanger. She had been a resident of this community most of her life.
On April 20, 1940, she married Louis L. LaBonte, who died on July 3, 2003.
Besides being a homemaker, she was employed in local shoe shops.
She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Sabattus.
She enjoyed bird watching and gardening for many years.
She is survived by two daughters, Nancy and her husband, Maurice, of Park City, Utah, and Alice Croxall of Smyrna, Ga.; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by one sister and 10 brothers.
