Carol Murphy of New Sharon received a summons last year on a charge of cruelty to animals and possessing animals without a permit: peacock, pygmy hedgehog, Quaker parrot and Russian tortoises. It was incorrectly reported by the Sun Journal in a story on page B1 of the Sunday, March 6, edition.
