FARMINGTON – Mike Lacasse singled in the seventh inning, advanced to second on an error and scored on another to lift Skowhegan to a 1-0 victory over Mt. Blue in an Eastern Class A preliminary round baseball action on Tuesday.

Lacasse led the Indians (9-8) with three hits. Matt Ouellette struck out five and walked two to record the win.

Mike Cayer and Hal Robbins led the Cougars (10-7) with two hits each, while starter Nick Tibbetts was credited with the loss.

Oak Hill 3, Lincoln 1

WISCASSET – John Daggett doubled in a pair of runs in the first inning as Oak Hill coasted to a 3-1 win over Lincoln Academy in Western Class B playoff action on Tuesday.

With one out in the top of the first inning, Wally Rines collected a walk to get things started for the Raiders (8-9). The pitcher Justin Plourde then singled, and both runners later advanced on a passed ball before Daggett plated them with a double.

Josh Jillson led off the fifth inning for Oak Hill with a double. Two batters later, Eric Daniels singled in the insurance run for the Raiders.

Patrick Howell recorded two of the Eagles’ (9-8) four hits, while suffering the pitching loss for Lincoln.
