AUBURN – Pat Douchette had three hits and drove in five runs to lead Lewiston/Auburn to an 8-3 win over Bonanza in Game 1 of a Twilight League doubleheader Sunday.

Bonanza jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the top of the first, but the hosts fired back with four quick runs. Douchette lined a bases-loaded single to right, which was misplayed. The error allowed Douchette to cruise to third base, plating three runs. He later scored on a single.

Douchette added two insurance runs in the fifth inning on a two-run double. Tyler Turgeon and Ryan Turgeon each added a pair of singles and an RBI.

The nightcap was another lopsided affair as pitcher Tyler Turgeon limited Bonanza to one run on two hits over five innings as L/A posted a 7-1 triumph. Chad Schrepper, Tom Bourdon and Andy Bellmore had two hits apiece, and Bellmore drove in two runs.
