LISBON – Nate Osmond scored the game-winning goal with 12 minutes left in the game on a cross from Payton Austin from 10 yards out as Lisbon escaped with a 1-0 victory over Dirigo in boys’ soccer on Saturday.

Goalie Mike Wilkins finished with six saves, including one with four minutes left to keep Lisbon (7-3-1) ahead.

Mountain Valley 2, Carrabec 0

RUMFORD – Jon Gamble scored two goals to lead Mountain Valley to a 2-0 victory over Carrabec in an MVC boys’ soccer matchup on Saturday.

Gamble’s first goal came 10 minutes into the game unassisted. His second goal was off a pass from Byron Glaus with five minutes left to play.

Goaltender Bryan Canwell made 17 saves to earn the shutout for the Falcons (3-7-1).

St. Doms 1, Waynflete 0

AUBURN – Freshman Ben Randall found the back of the net unassisted with 1:32 left in the game to give St. Dom’s 1-0 victory over Waynflete in boys’ soccer on Saturday.

Austin Fuller and Tom Edgecomb combined for two saves and the shutout for the Saints (3-6-1).

Telstar 7, Mt. Abram 1

BETHEL – Rodrigo Silva combined with Matt Zinchuk for goals in both halves to lead Telstar to a 7-1 win over Mt. Abram in MVC boys’ soccer action on Saturday.

The Rebels (8-3) jumped out to a 3-0 lead at the half.

Telstar had two scoring runs which netted a pair of goals within a minute and a half in each frame. The Roadrunners scored their lone goal on a penalty kick by Aaron Adams, who sent the ball through the fingers of the Rebel goalie Stephen Scotti (11 saves).

Monmouth 6, Hall-Dale 1

MONMOUTH – Patrick Trenholm had a spectacular outing with four goals to propel Monmouth to a 6-1 win over Hall-Dale in MVC boys’ soccer action on Saturday.

Trenholm controlled the flow of the contest from midfield with his ball handling skills, setting up many of the Mustangs’ (8-2-1) scoring opportunities. Trenholm piloted two goals from 25 yards out and blasted a loose ball into the net for another of his goals.

Fernando Barrientos put the Bulldogs (6-4-1) on the board with 10 minutes remaining in regulation with an assist from Jay Skillings to spoil the shutout. Paul Koening had 13 saves for Hall-Dale, while Scott Ogden prevented 11 shots for Monmouth in the win.

Football

Hebron 33, Proctor 21

HEBRON – Quarterback Sean Vaughan passed for a 20-yard touchdown and legged one in as Hebron notched a 33-21 win over Proctor in football action on Saturday.

Jerome Dyson had three touchdown runs for Proctor (0-2). Jose Gumbs scored a 50-yard run in the first quarter for the Huskies (2-0), and Jordan Krusch executed the point-after to take a 7-6 that Hebron would not relinquish.

Emeka Uwasomba and Algerson Andre also contributed touchdowns for Hebron.
