Dear Sun Spots: Fourteen years ago, my husband and I donated a 55-gallon aquarium to McMahon Elementary School Library in Lewiston in honor of our daughter, Tammy Martin. We have maintained it throughout the years and have had several great, knowledgeable people volunteer their time to keep it clean and beautiful. The last two years have been very frustrating because the people who have helped in the past have moved away, and I have been struggling to keep it clean and beautiful on my own. I am failing. If there is a kind person who has experience with large aquariums and could please volunteer some time in helping me get the aquarium back to its former beauty, I and the children of McMahon Elementary would really appreciate it. We have lost eight fish in the past two weeks. Please call or e-mail me at (207) 786-0735 or MartEnt246@adelphia.net. Thank you. – Jeanne Martin, No Town.
Dear Sun Spots: In response to the person who wrote to you asking about the flags (an American flag and what looks to be a U.S. Marine Corps flag) that are seen flying on either side of Veterans Bridge as you cross into Lewiston, there is a camp on the island below the bridge. I do not know if there is more than one camp or who it is affiliated with. I saw it when my husband and I went fishing on the river this summer. Thanks for having such a great column. – K. R., Lewiston.

Dear Sun Spots: Many thanks for being here for us. I am one of the many you’ve helped in the past and am hoping you can once more. I am looking for the song Christmas in Maine for my daughter. In addition, I’d like to find the lyrics that include “thousand violins.” I’m not sure that this is the name but would truly appreciate any help. Many thanks. – No Name, Hebron.
Answer: Sun Spots has located several different songs with the words “thousand violins” among the lyrics and cannot be sure this is the one you recall.
Perhaps the following, sung by Frank Sinatra, is what you’re seeking:
Misty Lyrics
Look at me
I’m as helpless as a kitten up a tree
and I feel like I’m clinging to a cloud
I can’t understand
I get misty
just holding your hand
Walk my way
and a thousand violins begin to play
on it might be the sound of your hello
that music I hear
I get misty
the moment you’re near
You can say
that you’re leading me on
But it’s just what I want you to do
don’t you notice how hopelessly I’m lost
that’s why I’m following you
On my own
would I wander through this wonderland alone
never knowing my right foot from my left
my hat from my glove
I’m too misty and too much in love
You can say…
On my own…
Dear Sun Spots: Could anyone please tell me where we can buy Thomas Kinkade Air Freshener in Christmas-scene candles? We looked everywhere last year and couldn’t find them. – Leona Brown, No Town.
