PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Quincy Douey dropped in 22 points as Rutgers pounded Maine, 91-56, in a men’s basketball game Thursday night.

Ollie Bailey and Marquis Webb each scored 11 points for the Scarlett Knights (8-2), and Jaron Griffin contributed 10 points and eight rebounds. Rutgers’ offense ran through guard Anthony Farmer, who finished the game with eight assists and four points.

Phil Tchekane Bofia was the leading scorer for the Black Bears (3-7) with 15 points, and Ernest Turner and Jon Sheets each turned in an 11-point effort for Maine.

UNE 68, Mount Ida 55

BIDDEFORD – Matt McManus knocked down a game-high 25 points as the University of New England defeated Mount Ida, 68-55 in a non-conference men’s basketball matchup Thursday.

McManus shot 6-of-9 from behind the three-point arc. Isaac Stickney turned in a double-double, scoring 11 points to go with 12 rebounds and blocked five shots for the Nor’Easters (4-5), and UNE turned the ball over just 10 times in the game.

Otis Thompson was the lone player to reach double figures for the Mules (1-10), scoring 10 points and pulling down seven rebounds.
