DIXFIELD – Michelle Holmquist was the lone player to reach double figures with 18 points to lead Dirigo to a 53-27 triumph over Georges Valley.

The Cougars (3-0) raced out to a 21-4 advantage after one quarter.

Holmquist hauled down nine rebounds and matched Megan Russell for the team lead in steals with four. Holly Knight chipped in with eight points and eight boards for the Cougars. Molly Hoyt scored six points to lead the Buccaneers (1-2).

Mt. Abram 70, Lisbon 43

SALEM – Brittany York had a dominant game with 19 points and 14 rebounds as Mt. Abram defeated Lisbon 70-43.

Morgan Cummings added 12 points for the Roadrunners (2-1), and Emily Stinchfield added 10.

Emily Moore led the Greyhounds with 12 points and Christy McAuliffe added eight points.

Liv. Falls 80, Winthrop 72

LIVERMORE FALLS – Senior Taryn Flagg dropped in 32 points to lead Livermore Falls to an 80-72 overtime win over Winthrop.

The Ramblers scored first in the overtime frame. But, a back-and-forth game ensued until the final 30 seconds. Rachel Ventrella hit 3-of-4 from the line to secure the win.

The Ramblers (2-1) led 35-32 at the half. Junior Katie Pushard recorded 26 points, while senior Emily Knight tallied 21 points for Winthrop.

The Andies (3-0) never led by more than eight points, with the widest margin at the final buzzer in overtime. Junior Marjorie DeBrosky had a double-double, collecting 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Telstar 63, Wiscassett 37

WISCASSETT – Kelsey Dole dropped in a game-high 16 points as Telstar opened up an early lead and never looked back in a 63-37 victory over Wiscassett.

Jillian Kimball added 11 points for the Rebels (2-1), including three 3-point shots, and Liz Rosenberg and Bailey Davis each had eight points. Telstar led 24-9 after the first quarter.

Megan Foye scored 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds. Marissa Hammond also netted 10 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and Sarah Pierce added 10 more for Wiscassett (0-3).

Buckfield 52, Waynflete 49

BUCKFIELD – Desiree Brackett hit a pair of foul shots to break a 49-49 tie with 45 seconds remaining, and Lindsay Henderson tacked on another foul shot to cement the game as Buckfield posted a 52-49 decision over Waynflete.

The Bucks (2-0) benefited from a balanced team effort on offense, as no players scored in double digits.

Tiffany Dunn lead Buckfield with nine points, Shayna Shackford added eight points, and Henderson finished the game with seven.

Oxf. Hills 59, Lewiston 46

SOUTH PARIS – Kari Pelletier sparked a third-quarter explosion when Oxford Hills ran off 18 consecutive points to break open a close game in a 59-46 victory over Lewiston.

Entering the second half with a 22-18 lead, the Vikings (3-0) outscored Lewiston 24-10 in the decisive quarter. Pelletier scored 10 of her team-high 16 points in the third period, including both of her 3-pointers.

Terry Bunce added 13 points, while Kristina Bowden finished with 11 points and Teira Durgin had 10.

Mallory Long of Lewiston (1-2) led all players with 17 points and Danielle Willey added 16.

Boothbay 62, Carrabec 41

NORTH ANSON – Ali Hartley and Miranda Sherman each scored 14 points as Boothbay defeated Carrabec 62-41.

Joyce Chajen added 12 points, and Megan Closson chipped 10 points for the Seahawks (2-1).

Tiffany Gurney scored all 10 of her points in the second half to lead the Cobras (0-3). Amy Campbell had seven points to go with eight rebounds, six steals, and two assists, and Alicia Tingley scored six points and dished out three assists.

Lake Region 85, Poland 30

POLAND – Sam Allen knocked down 20 points as Lake Region rolled to an 85-30 victory over Poland.

Kate Callahan added 16 points for the Lakers (3-0), and Z.Z. Leighton had 12. Paige Piper lead the Knights (0-3) with 12 points and Casey Ford pulled down seven rebounds.

Morse 74, EL 62

BATH – Jill Henrickson scored 28 points and the Shipbuilders rolled up 27 points in the third quarter to open up a big lead en route to a 74-62 victory over Edward Little.

Henrickson drained three 3-pointers as part of her game-high scoring effort. Kate Ross added 15 points for Morse (2-0).

Katie Dargie scored 16 points for the Eddies (0-2), including four shots from beyond the arc. Brittany French added 15 points, and Kelsey Nicholas chipped in with 14.

Jay 53, Mtn. Valley 47

JAY – Kalie DeMillo turned in a 28-point performance as Jay defeated Mountain Valley 53-47.

DeMillo hit four shots from 3-point territory. Katie Mastine and Jessica Labrecque each had seven points for the Tigers (2-1).

Kirsten Arsenault led the Falcons (0-2) with 20 points, and Taylor Smith had nine.

Med. Valley 37, Oak Hill 27

WALDOBORO – Stephanie Lee dropped in 11 points as Medomak Valley got the better of Oak Hill 37-27 in a defensive matchup.

Jaime O’Jala added 10 points as the Panthers pulled away in the second half on the strength of its free throw shooting.

Cassie Kupfer scored 10 points for the Raiders (0-3), and Kristen Eaton added nine points. Emily Sabine grabbed a team-high six rebounds.

G-NG 45, Yarmouth 26

YARMOUTH – Anna Marie Danielli had 14 points and 12 rebounds and Jen Farynaz scored 15 to lead Gray-New Gloucester to a 45-26 win over Yarmouth.

The host Clippers (2-2) led 16-14 at the half when Gray-NG switched to a zone defense to start the third quarter. The change in strategy enabled the Patriots (4-0) to shut down Yarmouth center Meredith Shaw.

The Patriots outscored Yarmouth 31-10 in the second half.

Shaw finished with nine points.
