SOUTH CHINA – Jon Fournier drained a game-high 21 points as Lewiston rolled past Erskine 52-46.
Joe Stachowiak chipped in for the undefeated Blue Devils (4-0) with 12 points, the only other player to reach double digits.
Lewiston held a 22-16 advantage at the halftime break, then stayed even with their opponent in the second half to pull out a six-point victory.
Mountain Valley 71, Carrabec 23
NORTH ANSON – Andy Shorey drained 20 points as undefeated Mountain Valley dominated Carrabec 71-23 in boys’ basketball action Tuesday.
Byron Glaus chipped in with 15 points for the Falcons (3-0).
Brandon Coutts scored 13 of the Cobras’ 23 points.
Maranacook 65, Winslow 54
WINSLOW – Ryan Martin tallied 19 points and had four steals to spark Maranacook to a 65-54 win over Winslow.
Mike Poulin added 13 points and seven rebounds, while Kevin Leary had 11 points for the Black Bears (4-0).
Winslow (1-3) was led by Josh Goulette with 15 points and James Wood with 13.
Morse 57, Oxford Hills 54
SOUTH PARIS – Josh Tuplin tallied 22 points, 14 in the fourth quarter, to carry Morse to a 57-54 triumph over Oxford Hills in a KVAC basketball matchup.
Mike Percy added 15 points for the Shipbuilders (2-1) win.
Ben Ryerson drained a game-high 25 points for the Vikings. Ryerson netted 12 of his points, including three three-pointers, in the second quarter. Chris McVety added 11 points and seven rebounds.
Boothbay 59, Lisbon 58
LISBON – In what proved to be an evenly matched contest, Boothbay fought off Lisbon by a 59-58 score in boys’ basketball action Tuesday evening.
Lisbon (2-1) held a strong advantage throughout the first three quarters, but slipped in the fourth as Boothbay outscored the Greyhounds 24-7.
The Seahawks’ Matt Sceviour tallied 20 points, including four 3-pointers. Chris Noonan and Roy Arsenault combined for 25 points.
Mike Wilkins downed 14 points, while Levi Ervin had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Greyhounds.
Rangeley 77, Forrest Hills 41
RANGELEY – David Jensen dropped a game-high 23 points in a 77-41 triumph over Forrest Hills.
Justin Gallant chipped in with 20 points, while David Raymond poured in 18 for the Lakers (1-1).
Sam Holbrook and Tim Gilboe combined for 20 points, while Stephen Achey added seven for Forrest Hills (0-2).
Poland 45, Gray-NG 40
POLAND – Tyler Merchant dropped in 15 points and hauled down five rebounds Tuesday night as Poland edged Gray-New Gloucester 45-40.
Poland held a commanding 24-14 advantage at the break and hung on easily for the five-point margin of victory.
Jon Leczner chipped in for the Knights (2-3) with 10 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks.
Matt Robertson and Chris Bennett led Gray-New Gloucester (2-3) with 10 points apiece, the only players to reach double digits.
Mt. Abram 52, Jay 42
SALEM – Jordan Norton netted 15 points Tuesday to propel Mt. Abram to a 52-42 victory over Jay.
Nate Blake chipped in for the Roadrunners (2-2) with 13 points and 10 rebounds, while Chris Smith also added 10 points.
Jamison Turner led the Tigers (0-4) with nine points, while Brad Loon and Mike DeSanctis added eight apiece.
Hockey
Greely 4, Win-Dale 1
HALOWELL – Brian Allyn netted two goals to lift Greely to a 4-1 victory over Win-Dale in hockey action Tuesday evening.
Allyn started the scoring at 9:49 in the first period off a pass from Harrison Sheldon. Sam Sheldon netted the insurance goal two minutes later. Allyn scored again in the third period before Drew Bowden tallied the final goal at 3:08 of third period.
Win-Dale’s lone goal came off a power play at 11:58 in the second period from Mike Fleishmann, with assists credited to Sam Frost and Ray Linck.
