SOUTH PARIS – Casey Cooper drained a game-high 18 points to lead Cony to a 65-36 victory over Oxford Hills in a KVAC girls’ basketball matchup on Friday.
Kristy Violette chipped in with 17 for the Rams. Cony had a slow start on offense with just six points in the first quarter, then pulled away in the third with a 23-point lead going into the fourth.
Mt. Blue 81, Old Town 31
OLD TOWN – Bonney Silkman dropped a game-high 24 points to power the Mt. Blue Cougars to an 81-31 win over Old Town in a girls’ basketball game Friday.
Mt. Blue’s Christina Mosher was the second leading scorer with 19, while Aylson Webster added 13. The Cougars played great defense, allowing just 12 points in the second half. Katie Beregron led Old Town with a team-high nine in the loss.
