MONMOUTH – Kaylie DeMillo netted a game-high 28 points to pace Jay to a 68-34 rout over Monmouth on Thursday.

DeMillo scored 10 of her total in a strong 23-point second quarter that put the Tigers (4-2) on the road to victory. Jessica Lebrecque chipped in for Jay with 15 points, while Liz Leblanc added 11.

Moe Beaulieu led the Mustangs (1-5) with 12 points, while Brittany Sciricia added nine.

The Tigers held a commanding 40-17 advantage at the half and cruised home to an easy win. Monmouth is playing without two starters with injuries, including veteran point guard Cortney Barrett.

Telstar 75, Geo. Valley 25

BETHEL – Shea Davis poured in a game-high 21 points to lead Telstar to a dominating 75-25 victory over Georges Valley.

Telstar’s Bailey Davis chipped in with 17 points, while Julian Kimball added 13. The Rebels’ pulled away in the second quarter when they outscored Georges Valley 26-4.

Sam Buchanan led all Georges Valley players with eight points.

Liv. Falls 73, Boothbay 51

LIVERMORE FALLS – Taryn Flagg led Livermore Falls with 15 points, six steals and six assists in a 73-51 triumph over Boothbay.

Marjorie DeBrosky also scored 15 points and grabbed six boards for the Andies.

Ali Hartley scored a game-high 19 points in the loss for Boothbay. Joyce Chagan added 12 points.

Greenville 49, Buckfield 38

GREENVILLE – Hannah Breton led Greenville on offense and defense with a game-high 17 points and six steals as the Lakers defeated Buckfield 49-38 in a girls’ varsity basketball game on Thursday.

Greenville’s Beth Bartley scored 13 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, while Darla Larsen chipped in with 12. Greenville (2-1) had a 12-point lead after the first quarter, and maintained the cushion for the entire game.

Alyssa Henderson was the high scorer for Buckfield (2-2) with 10, Desiree Brackett added nine.

Dirigo 59, Lisbon 23

DIXFIELD – Michelle Holmquist drained 24 points to pace Dirigo to a 59-23 rout over Lisbon in girls’ basketball action Thursday.

Holmquist also pulled down six rebounds and had five steals for the Cougars (5-1). Holly Knight and Shannon Daley chipped in with 11 points apiece for Dirigo.

Mindy Sullivan led the Greyhounds (0-6) with a seven-point performance, while Angie Estes tallied six.

Dirigo jumped out to an 18-6 lead in the first quarter and never trailed.

Rangeley 37, Seacoast 31

AUBURN – Ashley Quimby dropped in eight points to lead Rangeley to a 37-31 triumph over Seacoast Christian in a game at CMCC.

Angela White and Nicole Crupi added six points each for the Lakers (4-0). Seacoast was led by Liz Trafton with 14.
