BUCKFIELD – Beth Bartley and Elisa Gary scored 10 points each, and Hannah Breton chipped in with nine more to lead Greenville to a 38-34 come-from-behind victory over Buckfield in EWC basketball action Monday.

Kents Hill 49, Gould 34

KENTS HILL – Aleigh Mills scored 22 points and pulled down 22 rebounds to power undefeated Kents Hill to a 49-34 victory over Gould.

Kents Hill (5-0) won with defensive pressure that created 17 steals. Jackie Gershman-Manocchi and Alessandra Rohde each netted eight points, and Gershman-Manocchi, Jane Pavalkis and Emelda Ogweta had four steals apiece.

Heather Kelleher paced Gould (6-2) with 15 points, and Carley Rudd chipped in with seven.

Jay 61, Wiscasset 25

JAY – Junior point guard Kaylie DeMillo netted 20 points to lead Jay to a 61-25 win over Wiscasset in MVC girls’ basketball action Monday.

DeMillo collected three field goals from beyond the arc toward her 20 points, and recorded eight rebounds and five steals in a strong all-around game. Junior forward Kristen Adams led the Tigers (9-3) with nine rebounds to go along with her eight points.

The Redskins (1-10) were hard pressed for points. Junior center Megan Foye managed to sink a pair of field goals and three singles from the charity stripe for a team-high seven points.

Messalonskee 56, Leavitt 47

TURNER – Junior guard Chelsea Barker had spectacular evening with 26 points to lead Messalonskee to a 56-47 victory over Leavitt in KVAC girls’ basketball action Monday.

The Eagles created a fast-paced game, which kept the Barker twins within their element. Junior guard Amanda Barker recorded 14 points.

The Hornets played well, keeping down the turnovers and coming up short by only a few points each quarter. Senior guard Stephanie Healy provided the Hornets with 22 points, while junior forward Brittany Duncan notched 14 points in the losing effort.
