LEWISTON – Meg Coffin poured in 22 points to pace Bates to a 94-51 victory over Babson in a women’s college basketball matchup Tuesday night.
Bates went on a 19-5 run in the early going and took a 35-point lead into halftime.
Kyla Decato chipped in for the Bobcats (11-5) with a career-high 16 points, while Matia Kostakis added 13.
Caitlin Boulier led Babson (9-4) with 13 points, while Suzy Ward tallied 11 and Nicole McManus added seven.
USM 80, Plymouth St. 35
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Ashley Marble scored 14 points to lead a trio of players in double digits as Southern Maine cruised past Plymouth State 80-35 in collegiate women’s basketball action Tuesday.
Katie Frost chipped in for the Huskies (15-1) with 12 points, while Katie Sibley added 11.
Katie Susat led Plymouth State (5-9) with seven points, while Ashley White and Joy DePaolo added five apiece.

Bates 68, St. Joseph’s 54
LEWISTON – Rob Stockwell netted 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the high-flying Bates Bobcats to a 68-54 victory over St. Joseph’s.
Bryan Wholey chipped in for the Bobcats (12-2) with 16 points and eight rebounds, while Zak Ray contributed with 10 points.
R.J. Mattison led the Monks (8-5) with 12 points, while Marcus Alexander tallied nine.
Plymouth St. 74, USM 58
PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Brandon Boggs led five players in double figures with a game-high 18 points to lead Plymouth State to a 74-58 win over Southern Maine.
Andy Frost led the Huskies (9-7, 3-3) with 15 points, including a 3-for-4 effort from beyond the arc, while Bill Hardwick chipped in with 12 points.
