WINTHROP – The wedding of Farrah Lyn Demaray and Daniel Palmer Poirier was held at 6 p.m. on Oct. 8. The Rev. Roger Cousineau, family pastor, officiated at the ceremony at the East Winthrop Baptist Church.

Mrs. Poirier is the daughter of William and Pamela Demaray of Livermore Falls. Mr. Poirier is the son of Robert and Liana Poirier of Minot.

The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a white satin gown with chapel-length train and pale yellow embroidery with a church veil. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses, stephanotis, mini orchids and ivy.

Julia Hall, college friend of the bride, served as maid of honor, and attendants were Sarah Gove, Karen Staples, Mindy Friend, Sarah Fournier and Robin Richard.

Carlton Jackson, childhood friend of the bridegroom, served as best man, and ushers were Kevin Gove, Pieter Staples and Andrew Poirier.

A reception followed at the Senator Inn in Augusta, after which the couple traveled to Hartford, Conn., Boston and Washington, D.C. They are residing in Minot.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree in studio art from the University of Maine at Orono and is currently a teacher at Livermore Elementary School.

The bridegroom received a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from the University of Maine at Orono and is currently working at Honeywell Industry, Inc.
