AUBURN – Thomas MacDonald has joined Mechanics Savings Bank as senior vice president/risk management officer.

A graduate of the University of Maine at Orono, MacDonald is a candidate for a master’s degree in business administration at the University of Southern Maine. He was employed with TD Banknorth from 1993 to 2006, and with Fleet Bank of Maine from 1985 to l993.

He lives in Scarborough with his wife, Joelle, and has two children, Caleb and Lydia.
