CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – A new record peak demand for electric power was set in New Hampshire for Tuesday, Public Service Company of New Hampshire said.
The measurement of demand for power – 2,186 megawatts – as well as other New Hampshire customers connected to the PSNH system was recorded at 3 p.m. Tuesday, when temperatures were in the high 90s throughout much of the state. t was about 20 megawatts more than the previous record, set on July 27, 2005.
A record demand was also reported Tuesday for the New England region as a whole.
