NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – A Nashua man faces several charges after police say he held his girlfriend captive for hours and tried to sexually assault her.

Charles Bass, 44, was arrested on Saturday. He faces nine charges, including attempted rape and criminal restraint. He was arraigned Monday in Nashua District Court and was being held on $100,000 bail. The woman was treated for minor injuries.
