CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – A Berlin woman has claimed her Tri-State Megabucks winnings of more than $482,000, the state lottery said.
Lora Morneau bought a winning ticket in the Aug. 26 drawing of the Tri-State Megabucks game. Her lump-sum winnings were $482,113 before taxes. She bought the ticket at the Berlin Mills Variety store, which is owned by her daughter and son-in-law. Morneau says she’ll use part of the money to buy a new roof and windows.

Morneau’s was the first New Hampshire winning ticket of 2006. To date this year, two winning Megabucks tickets were sold in Maine and one was sold in Vermont.
The store will receive a bonus of $8,000 for selling a winning ticket.
