BOSTON (AP) – A man has been arrested and charged with murder after police discovered human remains of one person in two locations, including in a trash bag outside a home, authorities said Sunday. Brian Lee, 41, of Boston, was arrested late Saturday night, after a woman in the city’s Roxbury neighborhood found dismembered body parts inside a trash bag in her backyard, police said. Authorities believe the victim was a relative of Lee.
Dolores Nichols, 70, said her sister, Ruth Collins, was inside the house when she spotted bags in her neatly landscaped yard. Nichols said Lee had worked as a handyman at the home. “She’s hysterical,” Nichols said Saturday night.
During their investigation of the body parts, police conducted a welfare check at a home in Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood, where they found more human remains.
Police said Lee would be arraigned Monday in West Roxbury District Court. They did not released the victim’s name Sunday, and declined to say how Lee and the victim were related.
