NEWPORT, N.H. (AP) – A soldier from Newport is in serious condition after being wounded in a roadside bomb blast in Iraq. Raymond Howe says his son, Army Spc. Christopher Howe, 20, was injured last Wednesday. He’s being treated at a military hospital in Germany for a severe concussion, cuts and a broken arm.
Howe said the Army has told him his son is being flown to the United States for treatment and that he may arrive as early as Tuesday.
