ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) – Two Canadian men were arrested Friday, accused of transporting more than 200 pounds of marijuana through New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Londonderry police called in New Hampshire state police after getting tipped off to a large drug transaction happening between drivers of a tractor-trailer and a van.

As the van headed south on Interstate 93, New Hampshire police alerted Massachusetts police, who tracked the vehicle to Andover, about 25 miles away.

Police searching the van say they found more than 200 lbs. of marijuana inside.

The driver, 47-year-old Teddy Ip of Ontario, Canada, is being held at the Andover state police barracks on a charge of possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute.

In Londonderry, police arrested 57-year-old truck driver Jean Rousselle of New Brunswick, Canada. He is being held at the Rockingham County jail on a charge of conspiracy.

Both men are expected to be in court on Monday.
