CONTOOCOOK, N.H. (AP) – A school bus driver for the Hopkinton School District was arrested on a charge of sexually assaulting a high school girl in Hillsboro, police said.
Joshua Wilson 31, of Hillsboro, was arrested Monday and was placed on administrative leave by the bus company, Laidlaw Transportation. A company spokesman said none of the children on Laidlaw buses were part of the case.
Wilson was released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Hillsboro District Court on January 29, 2007.
The girl, a student at Hillsboro-Deering High School, was a family acquaintance of Wilson, police said.
Hillsboro employs Wilson as an on-call firefighter, and he has been placed on administrative lave “until the present situation has been resolved,” Hillsboro Fire Chief David Holmes said.
