KITTERY (AP) – The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard plans to honor late President Gerald Ford with a 21-gun salute on Tuesday, a national day of mourning.

The salute begins at noon. A single gun will be fired every minute until it is complete.

State funeral plans call for President Ford’s body to lie in state in Washington, D.C. until the funeral service.
