CONCORD, N.H. (AP) – Police and prosecutors are pursuing leads but not actively searching for anyone in the killing of an 89-year-old Warren man found dead at his home Monday.
Authorities wouldn’t give details Thursday on their investigation of Albert Powell’s death, but Attorney General Kelly Ayotte said investigators were pursuing “a number of leads.”
Asked if anyone was actively being sought as a suspect or source of information, Ayotte said, “Not at this point.”
“Obviously, any member of the public who believes they have information – of course, we would welcome that,” she said.
Powell lived alone and relied on help from friends and neighbors to stay in his old brick farmhouse.
Townspeople said he used to live in Gloucester, Mass., and used the farmhouse as a summer home for years before retiring there about a decade ago.
