BERLIN, N.H. (AP) – State, local and county authorities fanned out through New Hampshire’s northern county in search of people with outstanding arrest warrants.

Between last Thursday and Sunday, officers made 16 arrests in Coos County on criminal and civil charges.

Various agencies planned the sweep for several weeks. Sixteen people were arrested and two more had made appointments to turn themselves in Monday. Two others named in warrants were found to have died.

Several other arrests were made before Thursday, but part of the planning for the sweep.
