LYNDEBOROUGH, N.H. (AP) – An early morning fire destroyed a barn Friday, killing several animals and damaging a nearby house.

A horse, a flock of chickens, 18 pigs and five sheep all died. No humans were injured.

Homeowner David Schmechel said a phone call woke him. He looked outside and saw his barn on fire and threatening his home. He, his wife and two daughters got out of the house.

Officials investigating the three-alarm fire said it doesn’t look suspicious.
